August 9, 2003 - AAKA Competition

Brandon competed in the AAKA Competition after a long layoff from competition and training. Last competition was in March of 2003. Brandon entered the tournament after only a few hours of training during the week. The tournament was small in competitors, although he did well and came home with 4 first place trophies, bringing his total to 205 trophies and 100 titles to date.


November 15, 2002 - Film/TV Industry Mixer

Brandon attended the mixer Friday, Nov. 15.2002 at the Marquee Centers, Jillian's banquet room. As he arrived he shared greetings with Cynthia Neely, president of WIFTV and Maureen Herzog president & editor of Indie Slate magazine. Then he went immediately to the complimentary buffet where he selected his choice of eats. Brandon then went to network on his own, giving his business cards and receiving theirs.
He met some very nice individuals. We like to thank Dedra Davis and John Chiles for some great contacts. Brandon then went to Debra Duncan's table and the ch.11 cast. Brandon was being Brandon and Debra and associates shared many laughs together.
Then, Brandon received a call on his cell from Harry Zamora, Lieutenant and also film producer, to come down and meet with him, Stacy and stuntman Mike Mireles www.houstonstuntman.com, at La Tapatia restaurant.
Brandon arrived and they discussed using Brandon as the lead role boy for their movie to be filmed in summer of 2003. Pictures of the evening may be viewed under the photos page.

November 9, 2002 competition

Brandon received two more 1st place trophies. The sparring trophy was 6 ft. tall. Taking Brandon's total up to 189 trophies and 89 titles. Thanks to Brandon's sponsors and everyone that was supportive and helped Brandon this past weekend. Brandon & family would like to Thank Daniel and his parents for allowing Brandon to use his chest gear. Also, they like to state that Daniel is a very smart 6 year old, thanks to his parents and home schooling. If you read this contact us, we would like a video copy of the tournament.
While competing Brandon stated (as sweat drips from his forehead) he had to win because his 2nd grade Teacher Mrs. Rude and classmates wished him good luck when he left school early Friday. He said, "I'm going to win so I can take the 6 foot trophy to them on Monday."
Well, in the final match he did in it in surprising fashion, using the words 6 year old Daniel used to describe the match, "Brandon you dominated him." Brandon won by a by shutout 8 - 0 having the judges stop the match early because of the point difference. Brandon raised his hands in victory and went on to pick his trophy, he selected a red one, he said,
"I don't have a red one." Brandon went on to the hotel to change and enjoy the day at the beach collecting shells, swimming, playing racquetball, and video games with sister, Mom and Dad.


October 26, 2002 competition

Brandon competed in the Four Seasons Karate Championships. Brandon seemed to be more interested in showing his Yu Gi Oh cards to everyone and in between events he made new friends and played cards with them.
That did not stop him from performing at his best, he came home with 5-1st and 1 - 2nd, bringing home a total of "6" trophies, bringing his total to 187 trophies to date! Gary, a very nice person and a well known veteran of community relations was introduced to Brandon and stated if he needed anything for Brandon just to call him, Thank you Gary. We liked to Thank Ralph-the promoter, Allen and Big Dog for always welcoming Brandon and making it a great outing.

March 11, 2002 - Brandon films Bank of America commercial
Brandon films his first commercial. Houston,Tx., was the location. A tutor was on site as was a wardrobe and makeup trailer. When asked what he liked most about the filming he will tell you it was the food they were able to eat while filming, and during the breaks, Brandon enjoyed hanging around the snack area available only to cast. When it came time for lunch, as you would guess Brandon had his fill and passed. The scene was a family gathering at home while having dinner. Don't miss the commercial, it is presently being shown on spanish television networks.

May 25,2001

Brandon attends Grand Opening of Club Hollywood as VIP. The paparazzies were their Valet parking, Red Carpet, Hors d'oeuvres, Celebrities, Radio & TV Personalities. Brandon was recognized for his accomplishments by Club Owner Ben Mendez. Celebrities from the movie "The Way She Moves" being filmed here in Houston were their. It was a packed house.

"Portraits of Success"
Brandon also attended the "Portraits of Success" black tie event at the Four Seasons Hotel last week. Brandon met and took pictures with Pepe Serna, Luis Avalos and Nancy Alicia De Los Santos. Pepe has been in more than 50 movies and 300 television shows, Luis has appeared in over 600 segments of the Emmy and Grammy Award -winning show "The Electric Company" has been in many well known series and Nancy was the associate producer of the film Selena and Mi Familia also an ABC affiliate in Chicago and much more. Brandon would give out his card and asked for theirs in return, Brandon was learning to network. As Brandon left and went to shake Pepe's hand goodby Brandon said, "Let's make a movie together."

The Way She Moves
Filmed in Houston, Brandon gets called late Tuesday to be on the set at 9am Wednesday. Actor Kamar of One Life to Live, Actress Annabeth from the X-Files, Tessie of Queen of Swords and Miranda from Dirty Dancing. Brandon took pictures with them and others. On the grand finale Miranda picks up Brandon as they are singing and dancing and takes him to the stage where he goes up to Kamar and Annabeth and they end the scene and movie with Kamar throwing Brandon up into the air. They will be done filming June 10, 2001.To be out on VH1 Wednesday August 29,2001 8PM Central, a Charter Films/VH1 movie love story.

Angelica Theater was the location. Indy Race Car drivers Mario Andretti, Christian Fitipaldi and Kenny Brack were the special guests. Brandon met conversated, performed and took pictures with them. Brandon also met Tong Nguyen Editor-in-Chief of the new publication Les Avenues, about people living at large.. Mario was also interviewed by Les Avenues writers. The celebrities arrived in Limo's on to the red carpet where they were met by ABC, NBC and CBS cameras. Brandon enjoy the movie Driven and saved a some seats therefore he could have Tong and some of his company sit with Brandon.Brandon was treated as a celebrity and received many items posters, cards, caps, food and drinks but he wouldn't try the duck..

The cameras were constantly on Brandon throughout the day of competition. Brandon competed in Victoria and missed a few events due to attending acting class prior to the competition,and an injured achilles tendon. Brandon rode up to the competition with a tens unit placed on his achilles. However Brandon Lee brought home 3 first place trophies and his tallest trophy to date an eight footer...Brandon placed first in Creative Weapons, Creative Kata and Musical Specialty. He qualified for grand kata competition and earned the eight footer.

Brandon brings home six Trophies
Brandon wanted to bring home a six foot trophy from Corpus, he did that and more. He brought home a total of six trophies!! Brandon competed in Traditional Kata, Creative Kata, Traditional Weapons, Creative Weapons, Musical Specialty and Sparring. We asked Brandon what he liked more the trophies or the hotel he stated, "I love my trophies but I love the swimming pool too." When Brandon becomes aware his is going to staying a hotel he first remark is, " I want to go swimming." Brandon enjoyed seeing some of his friends their in Corpus that he has missed since he is not competing much anymore.

Brandon's 1st movie
Lone Star State of Mind Brandon's audition pays off. He receives a call Sunday night from the casting director to be on the set Wednesday the 21st. Brandon played as an extra cowboy, filmed in the small town of Uhland,Tx. Brandon met and took pictures with actor Joshua Jackson and Supermodel/actor James King. Joshua plays on the series "Dawson's Creek." Joshua even got on his knees to allow Brandon to do an offensive spinning jump kick on him. That was pretty cool of Josh to allow Brandon to kick him like that states, Brandon's dad. That caught the attention of almost all of the cast members as Brandon did that, Josh then picked Brandon up to be pictured with him. Ryan Hurst, DJ Quails, and John Mellencamp were also in the movie, John was not at the set. Brandon with his personality met and made friends with many people.

Rides in Televised Rodeo Parade
Brandon Lee enters his 1st ever pageant and leaves as the "Rodeo King" Brandon earned the title in the talent division, doing his Martial Arts musical "Kicking It Up A Few Notches"
This earned Brandon the honor to ride in the televised "Houston Livestock & Rodeo Parade"
Brandon also won the "Prettiest Eyes" & "Best Personality" divisions.

Brandon signs with Pro/Am Competition Team Brandon Lee signs with Pro/Am Competition Team. Their goal is to get seeded and invited to compete at the end of the year for a World Title. He is being trained by 7 time World Champion Willie Galvan, who is a third degree black belt in the Kajukenbo Martial Arts. Brandon stated he really likes Willie and looks forward to being trained by him. Brandon Lee will compete out of state a few times, he will be flown to Acapulco for a couple of tournaments and will be in California for seven days to compete for a World Title. Willie states he has watched Brandon's progress throughout the year and was impressed therefore asking him to be on his team, Brandon is the youngest teammate.
Brandon and Willie are working on a new Bo form and a new musical for him. Brandon will showcase it at the "Shift of Power" International Conference he will perform at March 1-3,2001 at the George Brown Convention Center.

Brandon earns four 1st place trophies
This was Brandon Lees first tournament of the year and he started off just as last year.. Brandon competed in in Traditional Forms in the six and under division in which he took first! He also competed in the Creative Forms, eleven and under division in which he placed first!!He then competed in the Musical Specialty seventeen and under divison in which he took first!!! Brandon was greatly applauded upon completion of his performance. The Musical in which Brandon performs was named "Kicking It Up A Few Notches, since Brandon enjoys watching Emeril Lagasses energy and the music Brandon uses is very Rock and Roll. Brandon then competed in his last competion of the day which was the six and under Sparring division in which Brandon Lee also took first!!!! Brandon was the only person to leave with all first place trophies! Brandon's dad was approached about having Brandon be part of a team in which their goal is to compete all year get seeded and invited to compete and win a World Title. The World Finals will be held in California.


October 26, 2000 Brandon Lee has been cast to be in a movie, "The Myan Code" he is to play a brother who defends his family with his Martial Art skills and other skills to be shown. Filming will begin in Fall 2001.

TNT State Championships
Houston,Tx. Brandon Lee Reyes just won The "State Champion" Title in Houston this past weekend the at the J. W. Marriott Hotel. Brandon was pumped and ready to go. When Brandon was called in, he bowed and made his entrance into the ring doing a one-handed cartwheel, the crowd awed as he entered the ring. Brandon bowed again and stated "My name is Brandon Lee Reyes, I represent Oyama Karate - Do, My Kata is Palgue One, With your permission I will perform," and Brandon stepped back and begin his performance, once he finished he bowed to the judges and awaited his scores. The scoring was based on a 8.5 - 9.0 rating system. His scores were 8.91, 8.90, 8.98, the closet anyone came to him was a 8.90, 8.89 and 8.91. Brandon showed near perfect form, balance, power and focus to take the (TNT) Texas National Tour State Championship title. Brandon who is ranked as the No. 1 five year old by the Amateur Organization of Karate entered the TNT tournament as a wildcard and left with the top card as he won the six year old and under division.

Swimwear Competition The "Miami Beach Models Showcase" was held at the Fontainebleau Hilton Resort in Miami, Florida. Numerous movies have been filmed here, celebrities from all over have visited and or stayed at the resort. From the time we stepped in the Hotel it became an ongoing process of rehearsals, Model's line - up, overviews,wardrobe changes, competitions and trying to find time to nourish our bodys. their must have been over one thousand competitors.. The awards banquet was on Sunday and Brandon was in his tailored suit as he walked up on stage to receive his awards won in "Commercial" and "Swimwear" competition!! The very next day, Brandon finally got to enjoy the beach and pool that he, for four days just passed by, looked at, dwelled upon and anticipated him being able to take pleasure in. Their were three very nice ladys at the front desk that Brandon caught the attention of and admired his personality. Brandon also demonstrated some of his Martial Art skills and did 40 push-ups for them. Everytime Brandon would pass by the front desk they would always acknowledge him. Brandon received many comps from the front desk and the restaurant downstairs, he was referred to as "Sweetie" at the front desk and "Champion" at the restaurant. they asked for pictures of him and Brandon also took pictures with them. Brandon was treated like a celebrity at the restaurant and was attended to very well. It was very interesting to see a five year old be attended to in that manner from once he walked in until he left, states Brandon's dad. Brandon also received much attention at one of the Souvenir shops and Senor Frog's where he was asked for his autograph and picture. On the flight home Brandon was recognized over the intercom by the stewardess that he was featured on NBC, had 60 trophies, was the # 1 rated five year old by the Amateur Organization of Karate and coming back from Miami winning awards in the Models Showcase... If we are ever in Miami we will stop by to say hello Fontainebleau...

Chamber of Commerce Brandon Lee was invited and attended a "Chamber of Commerce" breakfast at the "Briar Club" in Houston where he was recognized for his achievements in Martial Arts.

Autographs At age five as a pre-k student people began asking Brandon for his autograph and or to be pictured with him.
Parents have brought their children over because they wanted to meet him. Kids as young as eight years old and second graders have asked for his autograph.
Adults and judges are very impressed with him and say that he is a prodigy child. They are just amazed by his focus and state he is so powerful and swift in his Martial Arts.
